摘要

To guarantee the shipment plan fulfilment, with minimum investment, the berthed vessel time must be reduced. The potential factors that impact this referred time are: Shipment productivity optimization; 100 percent of shipment lot availability; Reduction of Stevedores absence; Continuous night work time; Rationalization of storage area; Increase of cranes capacity; New berths with higher capacity cranes. The simulated solution allowed considering the random involved process in port operation, with focus on potentials bottlenecks. This simulation is the first step to appoint for a complete feasibility study for the Praia Mole expansion. It involves the conceptual design (layout arrangements, wave mathematical model), equipments, investments, official licenses (environmental, city, Navy and Federal Agency.
