Experimental results, numerical models and industrial installation confirm that flameless oxyfuel combustion, can offer high-energy utilization efficiency, low peak temperature and uniform heat flux distribution in the furnace. This results in uniform heating and low emission levels of CO_2 and NO_x. The emissions of NO_x can be maintained at low or even very low levels well meeting restrictions at industrial-scale furnace operation often affected by ingress-air. The installation experience of flameless oxyfuel has shown increased furnace throughput along with lower emissions.
