Researches on the addition of Nb and hot rolling practices resulted in a ferritic stainless steel with better elongation and formability than the standard 430, and a low ridging tendency. This new ferritic grade is suitable for deep-drawing application and is being industrially produced for applications such as sinks, pans, and others kitchen utensils, which normally made in 304.
