摘要

In this study, head hair samples from 74 adult health persons (36 women and 38 men. fifteen to fifty-five years old) living in or near the small city in rural region 105 km south-west Moscow, were analysed for Al, Cd, Co, Cu, Fe, Mg. Mn, Mo, P, Pb, S, and Zn by ISP-AES. The results of the study show significant differences in the chemical element distribution between females and males. The mass fractions of Al, Fe and Pb in hair were greater for males and contents of Mg, S and Zn were greater for females. No significant differences due to age were found. The obtained results for Al, Cd, Co, Cu, Fe, Mg, Mn, Mo, P, Pb, S, and Zn mass fractions in head hair may serve as indicative normal values for residents of the Central European Part of Russia.
