Mt Arthur North Coal Project

Roberts & Schaefer Australia Pty Ltd formed a joint venture with Sinclair Knight Mere in June 2001, to provide EPCM services (engineering, procurement, and construction management) for the new 15 million tonnes per annum Mt. Arthur North Coal Project of Hunter Valley Energy Coal (BHPBilliton). The new facilities are located north of Sydney near Muswellbrook, NSW, Australia and are designed to provide both domestic and export quality thermal coals. Domestic coal was delivered on schedule to the local power station in late December 2002 and the coal preparation plant (CPP) was commissioned in the 3rd quarter of 2003, the 100th anniversary of Roberts & Schaefer.
