Gd doped CeO2 (GDC) micro tubes were prepared by a sol-gel method usingCe-Gd-acetate gel precursor. Micro sized hollow fiber was formed by hydrolysis of extrusiongel into ammonia solution at room temperature. About 800μm tube in diameter was obtainedat 1400°C for 2 h. Prepared GDC tube was dense in consisting of nano-sized ~500nm grains.Relative density of the sintered products was 97% at 1400°C for 6h. The DC conductivity of the prepared products was ca. 5.3×10 -2 S/cm at 500°C.
