in this paper, a new type of a dual linear polarized multiband antenna element for the use in reconfigurable base stations is presented. The antenna element covers the frequency range from 1700 MHz to 3300 MHz and is therefore suited for the GSM 1800-, UMTS-, UMTS+, Bluetooth- and WLAN-Systems. The port decoupling for the two polarization feeds is better than -11dB. The antenna is easy in construction, cheap, shows a very stable beam pattern over the whole frequency range, does not contain dielectric substrate materials and is therefore also very low in loss and causes very low signal intermodulation.
