摘要

The process to grind a ball-end cutter was very complex, in which include the machining of helical flute, radial land, side cutting edge, rake faces & flank faces etc. Extensive researches on the mathematic model and processing technology have been carried out recently. Based on a 6-UPS parallel grinding machine, this paper presented the study on the processing technology according to its special workspace and mechanic properties. The influences of machining methods and cutting routes on machining quality brought were investigated and studied. The processing technology mentioned above took all advantages of the parallel machine characters, which could simplify the machining model and increase machining efficiency and precision.
