Personal Smart Assistants (PSAs) provide assistances to users to enable them achieve their goals efficiently. In order to recommend a relevant assistance, the personal smart assistant builds a user model which represents the user's information such as interests, behaviours, goals, etc. Modeling the user's behaviours is essential to provide a relevant assistance at the right time. In open environments, dynamic changes occur that alters the user's behaviours as he/she is trying to achieve the goal. Furthermore, when the personal smart assistant interacts, on behalf of the user, with other entities in open environments, then the user's privacy become a concern. In this paper, we are proposing a personal smart assistant's architecture that is able to model the user's behaviours in open environments through observing his/her deliberative and reactive actions and dynamically alter the user's plan to achieve the goal based on the changes that occur in the environment. Also, we are proposing a privacy protection approach, within the PSA architecture, to preserve the user's privacy as the personal assistant interact with other entities in open environments.
