Low Back Pain; Cutting Edge Treatments for the Disease from Ancient Times

Low back pain has been one of the human sufferings since ancient times. However, diagnosis and treatment of low back pain still have lots of problems to be solved. We experienced a case of pseudospine pain that needed vascular surgical treatment. A 40-year-old male consulted the orthopedic clinic with a complaint of radiating pain from left buttock to back of the leg. No abnormalities were noted on physical examination. MRI has shown dissecting aortic aneurysm. Surgical treatment alleviated his low back pain. Urgent imaging options are critical in certain cases of low back pain. Regarding the brand new treatments, we would like to focus on complimentary and alternative therapies, local injection of botulinum toxin type A as a new antinociceptive drug and percutaneous vertebroplasty.
