摘要

When the transducer with the piezoelectric element of limited width is excited, the longitudinal ultrasonic wave propagates through the elastic solid media as a plane wave. We are confirmed the existence of the beam edge waves generated around the plane wave with the Photo-elastic ultrasonic wave visualization set up and behavior of these edge waves was observed. Moreover, the phase of the each edge wave is verified.
