摘要

ABSTRACT: This paper investigates the concurrent engineering for complex product (CECP). In this paper authors define "complex product" as a kind of product, which has complex customer requirements, complex product composition, complex product technologies, complex manufacturing processes and complex project management. The manufacturing activities for complex product have become a complex systematic engineering. This paper firstly discusses a series of challenges to concept, method, technology, tool and application implementation of concurrent engineering to support the manufacturing activities for complex product. Furthermore, some recent research fruits and some typical cases, including collaborative inter-enterprise's IPT (Integrated Product Teams) technology based on project management theory, methods and technologies of virtual prototyping engineering for complex product, distributed simulation technology based system concept design and system performance evaluation technology, modeling and simulation technology for complex product, grid technology based integrated supporting platform for CECP and its application, etc., taken by the authors and their colleagues on CECP are introduced. Finally, some further researches on CECP are also presented.
