Multidimensional analysis and visualization grow in geological and geomorphological tasks, changing depiction of geology in different scale from 2-3 dimensional representations to 3-4 dimensional maps-models and animated maps-models with at least geological time as the added dimension in both static and dynamic (modeling of time changes) forms. Modem mapping and modeling often involve grids and appear to be more and more interrelated, opening the wide passage to multidimensional analysis, forecast and reconstruction of the geological development. A realistic description of the palaeo-geometry is of supreme importance in different areas of geology, one of them being petroleum geology. Knowledge of the palaeo-geometry has significant consequences for our understanding of various physical processes operating on the earth.
