Microstructures and tensile properties of a new near a titanium alloy CT20 after different heat treatments were studied. The results indicated that the new alloy has good tensile properties at room temperature and relatively high tensile plasticity at 20K. Tensile ductility of the lamellar microstructure is higher than that of the equiaxed one at 20K, its deformation process consists of twinning and slipping, and its deformation mechanism is mutual action of twinning and slipping.
