摘要

Active slope movements often consist of translational landslides involving fine-grained soils, driven by seasonal pore water fluctuations. Movements take place along a slip surface where creeping is supposed to develop. This paper describes a different mechanism which involves the viscous properties of the landslide body above the slip surface, and reports the results of some analyses carried out with an elastic-viscous plastic model implemented in a numerical program developed at the University of Alberta.
