摘要

The maintenance of ship structures is very important to avoid serious casualties such as oil spill from tankers. For this problem, a concept of an information system for structural integrity of ships has been proposed by the authors (Kawamura et.al. 2001, 2002, 2003). In this paper, a development of a proto-type system for evaluation of corrosion damages by using the STEP (STandard for the Exchange of Product model data) technologies (ISO 1994a, 1994b, 1997, 1999) is firstly described. Secondly, a new concept for generation of analysis models for strength of aged ships from the database in the information system is proposed. The validity of the proposed concept is shown with some examples.
