摘要

A series of metal oxide were used as solid catalysts for synthesis of dimethyl carbonate from urea and methanol. Among them, ZnO was shown to be the highest active catalyst. It was also found that the activity of other oxides such as CaO, MgO, ZrO_2 was closely related to their basic strength.
