A NEW PROJECT MANAGEMENT MODEL OF SOFTWARE OUTSOURCING ENTERPRISES

The project management (PM) on enterprise-level tends to be a future long-term management model. Project contracting is the main business of Software Outsourcing Enterprises(SOE) ; This characteristic of SOE determines its strong demand for enterprise-level project management. Few research have been carried out on project management model of SOE, the newly-founded industry. Domestic SOEs usually set up a project management department within the enterprise, only resulting in a break between PM and general development strategy. Based on the investigation made during the author's work experience in an SOE, this paper outlines a new PM model with the participation of the financial department. In practice, the new model was proved to be effective in improving the success probability and the profits of projects and serving enterprise development strategies.
