摘要

This paper presents a technique to circumvent fictitious eigenfrequencies that appear in the numerical solution of integral equations related to three-dimensional exterior elastodynamics. Based on the acoustical analogue proposed by Burton and Miller (1971), it is achieved to identify a new elastodynamical operator suitable for the differentiation of the initial integral equation. The theory is sustained by results obtained on a cubic inclusion harmonically vibrating within the linearly elastic, homogeneous and isotropic infinite medium.
