An Advanced Reliability Test Procedure for Gear- Wheels Considering Results Known from Different Gear Transmission Ratios

We will use prior information to reduce the sample size of a reliability test procedure. We describe that information considering exact failure times of tested parts as well as Weibull distributions. The result is a prior density. By the means of Bayes procedure we define a posterior density. Due to the usage of given information from other transmission ratios the necessary sample size can be reduced.
