EVALUATING QUALITY IN AN EDUCATIONAL SOFTWARE

This research examines vitamin elementary instructional software developed for science and technology classes in 6th, 7th and 8th grades. The study mainly focuses on the software's convenience to educational objectives, content, learning experiences and evaluation measures of the new curriculum. An evaluation form which included 69 items in five major categories was developed by the researchers and vitamin elementary was evaluated on each category according to the scale of 1 to 5 points ranking from excellent to poor. At the end of the evaluation, vitamin elementary instructional software was found "acceptable" in terms of its convenience to educational objectives, content, technical aspects and educational usage and "poor" in measurement and evaluation.
