摘要

The paper examines problematic issues related to the design of oil and gas production platforms for which ice and seismic impacts are deterministic, as well as design criteria, which allow to make a rational decision during design. Analysis of impact of seismic conditions and ice period upon the architecture of the facility and its structural elements is introduced. Designs of offshore ice-resistant platforms for regions with high seismic activity are presented. Special consideration is given to the issues of engineering of platforms designed for operation in severe environmental conditions of Russian shelf.
