System modelling plays a fundamental role in the design process of the SOFC system of EBZ. An industrial used simulation tool has been chosen that allows steady-state as well as dynamic simulations of complete fuel cell systems. Based on pneumatic and thermal libraries, a fuel cell library has been developed that includes the main modules of a SOFC system. Steady-state flowsheet optimisations and dynamic investigations of system integration behaviour as well as control strategies are performed.
