摘要

Based on the successful examples of Eaton Corporation's hybrid electric truck program, this paper will present a study on the electric system in the pick-up-and-delivery (PUD) hybrid electric truck system. Following up with a brief introduction on the hybrid architecture and significant vehicle performance improvement in fuel economy, drivability and emissions. This paper will discuss the design of the electric propulsion system (EPS), especially on the electric component sizing. Finally, the general characteristics, requirements and performance for the battery sub-system will be described and discussed.
