Application of the EHTP methodology to plan primary health care services in Mozambique

The EHTP pilot results obtained show that the methodology and the EHTP tool can have a positive impact on the planning and management of healthcare resources. The tool not only clearly predicted real needs in term of number of HR necessary for the VCT Cabinet (based on the initial Target Patient Load and used (CPGs), but also, it could have assisted health planners that, based on Actual Patient Load, increasing actual councillors to two counsellors was not enough
