Structural analyses of the displacement response to the wind load at altitude of 347.5 m are carried out for the Shenzhen Di Wang Tower in this paper. The wind load is defined respectively by the Chinese Standard "Load code for the design of building structures" GB 50009 - 2001, the Japanese Architecture Association's "Advice of building loads" and the model of wind velocities given by authors. A 3-D finite element model is built up for structural analysis with the program SAP2000. The computation is compared with the field measurement and reaching the conclusions as follows: the distribution of wind velocities along the altitude above 300 m is no longer following the exponential or logarithm law but the parabola or high order polynomial law. Therefore the wind load is overvalued by Code GB 50009 - 2001 for super high-rise buildings with the height of 300 m and above.
