摘要

3-λpyrometry provides a novel method for measuring anode and cathode temperatures of high pressure lamps in presence of strong background plasma radiation. Comparisons with thermal simulations allow evaluation of power depositions into anode and cathode. Systematic application of this method will lead to semi-empirical expressions of the electrode losses in terms of different lamp parameters.
