We designed a secure control system for distributed and cooperative systems, including robots and information appliances, by integrating network security based on the natural immune system. Although most network security systems are independent, we designed a device control level and a security level within the same agent's framework. This design defines the immunity cell agent as the process group that monitors the communication and operation of the network computer that is the controlling device. It defines the device agent as the process group that controls and manages devices. Each agent monitors a computer and controls devices individually. The immunity cell agent functions as an authentication system during negotiation between the device agents and the information exchange of cooperative processing when a request is received. We incorporate an immunity system into a multiagent robot system, using robots and sensors, and demonstrate its effects.
