We tried lo apply some kinds of sensing techniques to obtain the information of status of coffee tree. The color image processing on leaves gives us the general information of tree condition. This technique on coffee fruits can also extract the indexes used for the determination of harvest time. For getting the details of nutrient condition of plant, we can use the Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spcctroscopy and the energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry. The laser-induced fluorescencespectroscopy is also useful lo delect the water and nutrient stress of coffee tree. By image analysis of tree image, the shape of tree can be recorded. The successive accumulation of these sensing data is helpful in acquiring the precise information oftree damage and help the farmers select the optimum cultivation way.
