Creosote and Other PAH Sources

Mr. Mattingly: It's a pleasure to be with you this morning. As introduced, the authors and I are from Battelle Memorial Institute. We spend a lot of time with oil companies, utility companies, wood treaters, and similar institutions trying to unravelcomplicated source identification problems associated with potentially hazardous material in the environment. I would like to share with you some of those experiences from the vantage point of applied environmental forensics. In particular, this talk will focus on the identification and delineation of creosote.
