INTRODUCTION TO FLEXIBLE GI ENDOSCOPY GASTROENTEROLOGY

Flexible endoscopes have become more available and more affordable to the veterinary practitioner in the last 10 years. The use of flexible endoscopy is invaluable for evaluation of the gastrointestinal tract and now allows veterinary practitioners to elevate the level of diagnostic evaluation to that once only available in specialty referral practices. Flexible gastrointestinal endoscopy includes esophagoscopy, gastroscopy, duodenoscopy, and colonoscopy.
