“Eight Years of Secondary Waste Reuse in Power Production” by Chuck Dale, Ionics Incorporated

The author has developed an interesting paper based upon his statement in his APPLICATION HISTORY section which reads: “While it appears to have recently become quite popular to write articles touting the ability to successfully pilot and treat municipal effluent, the recent articles seem to lack the historical perspective, ignore the operational challenges and they tell only a small part of this very rewarding story.” The intent of the paper was to provide historical perspective and operational challenges associated with a water reuse project; however, Mr. Dale falls short of “his own mark” by not providing enough detailed operational and economic justification for the installed system.
