New Design of Embossed Tube Cable for Air Blowing Installation

Air-blown system is an increasingly attractive solution that offers easy upgrading abilities and lowers the cost of moves, additions, and changes. In the air-blown cable, it is important that cable diameter should be minimized and installation length should be maximized without cable stress to satisfy these requests. We have developed a new embossed tube cable with its diameter 2.8mm for 12fiber. The embossed surface of tube cable is designed not only to decrease coefficient of friction but also to increase high propulsion by air pressure, the inner gel is designed to prevent gas or water intrusion to assure long term reliability. In this paper we are verifying the performance of embossed rube cable with mechanical test, environmental test and blowing installation test. This new cable makes it possible to accomplish long installation safely without giving external stress and using any lubricants.
