Electromagnetic Characteristic Between Twisted Copper Pairs by Numerical Analysis

The results of the Numerical Analysis are reported for the copper communication cables, which have the different lay length combinations. Until now the exact physical theory for Crosstalk phenomena has not been, so we have tried to grow up the available methods to forecast the Crosstalk phenomena. Many of the basic concepts originate from the previous studies by several authors for about 100 years [1-4], which are Transmission Line Theory [1], Campbell Method [2,3], and Least Common Multiple Length (L.C.M)[4]. We could estimate comparative NEXT among several twisted pair cables with different combination of lays and minuteness lay changes of twisted cable. Unique lay condition should be applied to make the better Crosstalk characteristic of copper twisted pairs. The results of minuteness lay changes within copper twisted cable affecting on Crosstalk characteristic will be shown. That result is compared with Non-changed lay within L.C.M length.
