Alkylation Reactions Using Manganate-Lewis Acid Mixed Reagent

摘要

A mixture prepared in advance only by stirring"R_3MnMgBr"and BF_3centre dot OEt_2 in ether converts acetals added afterward to alkyl-substitution product at acetal carbon.Ketal also reacts with the"mixed reagent"to afford the corresponding alkylation product in high yield,while dimethyl acetal derived from cyclopropanecarboxaldehyde gives cyclopropylmethyl ether in high yield,without cationic rearrangement.
