Medium-sized carbocycles are frequently incorporated in various natural products and the efficient construction of the carbocycles is an important issue.Some transition metal-catalyzed cycloaddition reactions provided unique and promising solutions for the preparation of the medium-sized rings.The synthesis of nine-membered carbocyclic compounds by the transition metal-catalyzed cycloaddition reactions,however,remains to be a very challenging subject.
