Palladium-Catalyzed Regioselective Allylic Alkylation of Fluorine-Containing Allylic Esters

There are only a few reports about the palladium-catalyzed allylic substitution of fluorinated compounds. To the best of our knowledge, palladium-catalyzed regioselective allylic substitution reaction has been applied for only trifluoromethyl group-containing allyl esters; there has been no report about the reactivity and the regioselecitivty of allyl acetates which possess fluorinated terminal olefins. In this paper, we report the first example of palladium-catalyzed branch selective allylic alkylation of 2,3,3-trifluoro-1-arylallyl acetates, which posseses three fluorine atoms on the terminal olefin.
