Indoor chilled load in south china is very high in summer, so the vertical temperature difference in room caused by thermal delamination of displacement ventilation is too high and people may feel uncomfortable. To increase the chilled capacity of air-conditioning systems, the combination of displacement ventilation and chilled ceiling can not only improve the indoor air quality, enhance the thermal comfort but also make energy saving. In this paper, based on the equation model of CFD, a numerical simulation of the vertical temperature field, horizontal temperature field, indoor air quality and thermal comfort in room with and without a chilled ceiling was simulated by using a finite-volume method, and the result of the simulation was analyzed to give some pieces of advice to engineers or designers.
