This paper will explore the advantages and disadvantages of long-term alliances between Process Analyzer Systems Integrators and their Customers. The common method of choosing a Systems Integrator for process analyzer projects in today's cost driven market place is to qualify at least three acceptable vendors and have each of them submit a final price bid for the project. This may seem to be the most cost effective method for purchasing costly systems, at first. This paper will look at other alternatives, as well as the associated advantages and disadvantages.
