ANTIMICROBIAL SUSCEPTIBILITY OF MASTITIS PATHOGENS ISOLATED FROM MULTIPAROUS COWS

Antimicrobial therapy is one of the primary tools used to control mastitis. Outcomes of antimicrobial susceptibility tests are often used to guide the selection of antimicrobial products. Antimicrobial susceptibility tests are also used to monitor levels of resistance of mastitis pathogens to commonly used antimicrobials because of concerns about the development of widespread antimicrobial resistance. The purpose of this study was to determine the in vitro susceptibility of different mastitis pathogens isolated from subclinical IMI of multiparous cows.
