The static inverters absorb no sinusoidal currents and generally consume a reactive power. These two phenomena produce some disturbances like the dysfunction of equipment in the worst cases. In this article, the disturbances produced by the static inverters were studied and some solutions aiming their attenuation were presented. All the same, we consider their elimination by using suitable control devices. We proceeded at the beginning with the identification of the harmonics produced by rectifiers and frequency converters, and then we study the methods of attenuation by control. The techniques used here consist in first on the association of the rectifiers in Seri, and finally the techniques of Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) and Pulse Positions Modulation (PPM) applied to Graetz bridge rectifiers.
