摘要

Advances in agent technology make the prospect of widespread use of agents for Internet shopping likely. We simulate a marketplace in which sellers use agents to dynamically price and buyers make purchase decisions using agents. Our simulations show that the manner in which buyer behavior (specifically, buyer memory) is represented by agents influences how prices evolve. These price variations are important considerations for Internet sellers and buyers, as well as builders of agents.
