Waste materials originated from a construction job-site have been rapidly increased and they are concerned because of possibility of environmental pollution by them. Therefore, it was main target of this study that was to estimate and develop the Eco-concrete using recycled-aggregate for improvement of water quality. At the same time, influence by mixture proportion of aggregate were also investigated to understand the best condition of Eco-concrete for strength and continuous void ratio, and attached biomass amount and variation of pH, DO concentration and DOC concentration for each Eco-concrete were investigated to understand the function of water purification. Based on the results, we understood that compressive strength of Eco-concrete made with natural aggregate was higher than that with recycled aggregate but continuous void ratio showed the reverse relation. Physical characteristics of Eco-concrete was also related with aggregate size and T.V.R., and compressive strength was increased with having smaller aggregate size and lower T.V.R.. It was estimated that neutralization treatment of Eco-concrete need for shortening application time of Eco-concrete to the field and preventing bad influence to water quality by high pH. In the viewpoint of water purification function, since the Eco-concrete made of recycled aggregate showed higher efficiency for removal of DOC and decrease of DO concentration, it was estimated that utilization of recycled aggregate was very desirable in the point of reutilization of resources and reduction of environmental pollutant material.
