We study the ac conductivity as well as magneto-optical effects in a wide range of spectrum from infrared to visible parts. The calculations are based on the kinetic exchange model, which treats the disorder effects perturbatively within the Born approximation. We present the results for the ten-band Kohn-Luttinger (KL) model with six valence, two conduction, and two dispersionless bands. The latter simulate upper-mid-gap states induced by As antisites or Mn interstitials. We report on new features in the magneto-optical effects. We also analyze an influence of lifetime broadening on ac conductivity. The comparison of the calculated and experimental data yields quasiparticle lifetime broadening of the order of 100meV.
