摘要

pi-conjugated polymer film waveguides, with sufficient thickness to hold multiple waveguiding modes, showed detuned amplified spontaneous emissions at discrete series of molecular vibrational transitions. The detuning dependent on the film thickness suggests that the selection among vibrational transitions was made on the basis of evanescent field leak into the substrate which is strongest at the critical angle. With higher photoexcitation, continuous detuning was also observed due to phase space filling.
