This paper summarizes analytical solutions for a three-invariant Cam clay model subjected to both, proportional and circular loading histories. Dependence of yielding on the third invariant of a stress tensor is introduced via Lode's angle, which appears in the form of the argument of the so-called Willam-Warnke function. Only straight proportional stress paths are considered. Solutions are given for the generalized shear strain in terms of the modified stress ratio for both, drained and undrained loadings. Solutions are also presented for the volumetric strain and for the excess pore pressure in the case of drained and undrained loading histories respectively. A performance of analytical solutions for proportional stress paths is illustrated by comparing them with the experimental data for Weald clay.
