摘要

In this paper the well-known Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) method is incorporated with an unsplit anisotropic perfectly matched layer (UA-PML) technique to design and analyze different types of microwave filters planar-printed on microstrip-line circuits. The developed FDTD solver is first validated by comparing the computed data with those published in literature, and an excellent agreement is observed between the results. Next, based on the specified criteria, various planar printed microwave filter structures are designed and analyzed, and the theoretical predictions match excellently with the computed results for the characteristics of the proposed filter systems.
