摘要

The Dry-Salt-Layer (DSL) pollution test method has been introduced in recent years as an alternative to verify the pollution flashover performance of all types of insulator to be installed in coastal environments . With this test, the pollution accumulation and wetting of these types of environment is simulated by exposing the insulator under test, to wind-borne semi-dry ― or humid ― salt particles, which is followed by wetting in the form of a clean-fog.
