Notice that the frequency response is reduced as the footprint grows in size, as expected, and that this effect is more pronounced with the higher order modes. Due to the fact that higher order modes correspond to higher vibration frequencies Figure 3 also demonstrates that a low pass filtering effect is taking place. Further work must be performed to verify these simulations experimentally.
