VSC Track at WETICE: Summary report and preface

摘要

This report provides an introduction to the papers accepted for the VSC track at IEEE WETICE 2013. The VSC track is the first IEEE WETICE event specifically devoted to systems validation techniques in the context of safety critical applications, at any scale from small, smart devices to enterprise level of networked systems. Despite the novelty of the event we were pleased to receive several interesting contributions ranging in a wide spectrum of aspects of the main, general theme. This is a merit that we mainly attribute to the valuable effort that has been provided by all the program committee members, to whom we express our most sincere thanks. It is due to their outstanding professional level that it has been possible to ensure a high quality, independent reviewing process, which allowed us to select six contributions for oral presentation at the VSC track. We express our gratitude to the WETICE General Chair, Program Chairs and Steering Committee for the opportunity given us to contribute with the VSC track to the lively and friendly research forum provided by the WETICE community.
